Key sanctions from the eighth round of the Egyptian League

The Egyptian Professional Clubs Association has announced the sanctions for the eighth round of the Egyptian League for the 2026-2027 season, based on the competition regulations, the violations and penalties regulations, and the quality control system approved for the current season.

The most notable penalties are as follows:

Match between Modern and Al Ahly FC:

Samir Ali, the coordinator of Modern Sport, has been suspended for a match and fined £10,000 due to a red card.

Match between Ittihad and Talaea El Gaish:

Khaled Basyouni of Talaea El Gaish has been suspended for one match and fined 5,000 Egyptian pounds for receiving his third yellow card.

Mohamed Hany of Talaea El Gaish has been suspended for one match and fined 2,500 Egyptian pounds due to being sent off for receiving two yellow cards in the same match.

A match between Abo Qir and Ghazl El Mahalla.

Youssef Hamdi, player of Abo Qir, has been suspended for one match and fined 5,000 EGP for receiving his third yellow card.
