Al-Wehdat responds to its honorary president and confirms: club decisions are issued exclusively by the administrative body

Al-Wehdat's administrative body has confirmed that the club's administrative decisions are made in accordance with the applicable regulations and laws, responding to recent statements by the club's honorary president Imad Al-Demeisi. They emphasized that differences in viewpoints should be addressed within institutional frameworks.

The authority stated in an official statement that the financial data and decisions of the club are characterized by transparency, noting that Al-Damisi was provided with the financial data related to the club's budget, the balance sheet, and the debt statement, in addition to being briefed on the financial details during his visit to the financial department at the club. A staff member from his company has also been assigned to visit the club periodically to review the financial details.

The authority added that all of Al-Damisi's proposals since his arrival have been adopted and turned into administrative decisions. He was also allowed to attend the administrative board meetings, confirming that the club had adopted a project to build a football team according to a five-year plan focusing on age categories, before the honorary president committed to bringing in professional players and covering their contract values, which the administrative board approved based on his commitment.

Regarding the coaching staff, the authority indicated that the termination of the contract with former coach Waseem Al-Bazour came at the request of Al-Demeisi, who announced his dismissal through the media before the board meeting and the issuance of the official decision. After that, a new coaching staff was contracted, requesting to choose members of his technical and administrative staff, but this was not accepted by the honorary president, who requested, according to the statement, to impose specific names on the administrative authority, despite having previously requested the dismissal of all members of the previous technical and administrative staff.

The authority emphasized that its decisions are made through voting, and no entity is allowed to control them, while also confirming that no actions have been taken that would harm the honorary president or disrupt the relationship with him.

The authority also responded to what Al-Damisi described as "interference in the team's work" and "betting", asserting that these accusations are "completely unfounded" and require proof. It called for any evidence or proof to be presented and committed to referring any proven accusations to the relevant official authorities.

The authority revealed that the total amount donated by Al-Demisi to the club as of the date of the statement reached 146,000 dinars, expressing its hope that he will fulfill his commitments regarding the professional players and the coaching staff.

The association confirmed in its statement that the honorary president of Al-Wehdat remains in position as of the preparation of the statement, stressing that the club's doors will remain open to all supporters and fans, and that "the interest of Al-Wehdat remains above individuals and all other considerations," urging fans to obtain information from the club's official channels.
