Aston Villa Signs Garnacho on Loan
Aston Villa has officially announced the signing of Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho on a one-season loan from Chelsea, as they prepare for the upcoming Premier League season.
Aston Villa has clarified in an official statement that the 22-year-old player has joined the team on a loan deal that extends until the end of the season, thus putting an end to the speculation surrounding his future in recent times.
The deal comes in response to the wishes of Spanish head coach Unai Emery, who is looking to enhance the team's attacking options, while giving Garnacho a chance to regain his best form after a season with limited regular appearances at Chelsea.
Alejandro Garnacho moved to Chelsea in the summer of 2025 from Manchester United for around £40 million, but he has not delivered the expected performance during his first season with the London club.
The Argentine international played 43 matches for Chelsea across all competitions last season, scoring 8 goals and providing 4 assists, before embarking on a new journey with Aston Villa in hopes of regaining his former level under Unai Emery.
