Exciting Details in Garnacho's Move to Aston Villa
Aston Villa has concluded its agreement with Chelsea to sign Argentine Alejandro Garnacho on loan, with a clause obliging the English club to purchase him next summer upon meeting specific conditions.
According to journalist David Ornstein, the reason for completing the deal in this manner is due to financial accounting regulations. Any direct buying and selling transactions between the two clubs within a period of less than 45 days may be treated as a swap deal.
Aston Villa sold Morgan Rogers to Chelsea for £117 million, so purchasing Garnacho permanently this summer could reduce the accounting profits the club will achieve from the Rogers deal in UEFA's calculations.
Ornstein added that if the purchase option in Alejandro Garnacho's loan is activated in the summer of 2027, UEFA is expected to scrutinize the details of the deal to ensure there is no manipulation or circumvention of financial regulations.
Alejandro Garnacho is preparing to undergo a medical examination at Aston Villa before finalizing his official transfer.
