Sudanese club Al Hilal has issued an official statement rejecting the decision of the Appeals Committee of the Sudanese Football Association, which awarded the Premier League title for the 2025-2026 season to Al Merrikh. The club emphasized that they rightfully earned the title based on their on-field performance.

Al Hilal asserted that the Appeals Committee's decision "lacks any legal basis," arguing that it even contradicts national laws, noting that the ruling stripped an individual who legally obtained Sudanese citizenship of their rights.

The club also referenced a similar legal precedent during Salah Idris's presidency regarding the case of player Suli Sharif, highlighting that they successfully won the complaint despite the actions taken by the Sudanese Football Association at that time.

The board of Al Hilal stressed that they will not remain idle in the face of what they described as "targeting the club's achievements," announcing their intention to file a request for review and examination as soon as they receive the official reasoning for the decision, preparing to take all necessary legal actions to defend their right to the title.
