Como's Big Spending Ahead of European Debut
Como continues to bolster its squad ahead of its historic first participation in the Champions League, with summer transfer spending exceeding €100 million.
According to "La Gazzetta dello Sport," the club secured the deal to keep Nico Paz for €60 million after re-signing him from Real Madrid, with the Spanish club retaining a buy-back option worth €80 million in the summer of 2027.
The report also states that Como is close to signing Jan Kuto from Borussia Dortmund for around €20 million, after acquiring Kaiky on loan with an obligation to buy for €14 million.
Additionally, the total spending is nearing €100 million before accounting for the deal for Luis Mia, which is valued at around €6 million.
The same source noted that Como's management is still looking to strengthen the defense and sign a new striker, which could raise the transfer bill to around €150 million during the summer of 2026.
Cesc Fabregas is leading this ambitious project as the team prepares for its first season in the Champions League.
