Official: Como Signs Trevoh Chalobah

Italian club Como has officially announced the signing of English defender Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea in a permanent transfer deal. The 27-year-old has signed a contract with the club that runs until 2031, with the transfer costing the club's coffers €36 million.

Trevoh Chalobah, born in 1999, joined Chelsea's academy at the age of eight, progressing through the club's youth teams before establishing himself with the first team. The English defender had loan spells with Ipswich Town, Huddersfield Town, and Lorient, before making his debut for Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup in 2021, contributing to the team's title win.

During his time at Chelsea, Chalobah participated in more than 150 matches across various domestic and European competitions. He also won two titles in the FIFA Club World Cup, along with the UEFA Europa Conference League. Chalobah is known for his physical strength, speed, and ball-handling ability, as well as his capacity to play in multiple defensive positions. His extensive experience at the highest levels of football makes him an important addition to Como's ambitious project.

On the international stage, Trevoh Chalobah has progressed through various age groups of the England national team before making his first appearance for the senior team in 2025. He was also part of the England squad that secured third place in the 2026 World Cup.

Como's coach Cesc Fabregas spoke about the signing: "Trivoh is an important signing for us, and he embodies the level of ambition we have at this club. He has competed and won titles at the highest level, but he is also eager to start a new chapter and continue to develop. He will give us strength, speed, and character in defense, along with the technical quality needed to build play from the back.
