Leeds United Set to Bid for Zion Suzuki Following Meslier Departure

Leeds United has begun efforts to replace their French goalkeeper Illan Meslier, placing Japanese keeper Zion Suzuki of Parma at the top of their summer transfer priorities.

According to "Football Italia," Arsenal has officially signed Meslier, 26, after seven seasons with Leeds United, during which he made 215 appearances and kept 70 clean sheets, and he will wear the number 30 shirt with his new team.

The report added that Meslier's departure has left a gap in the goalkeeping position, prompting Leeds to accelerate their pursuit of Zion Suzuki, with the club preparing to make a new offer to Parma in the coming period.

The same source noted that the Japanese international goalkeeper has delivered impressive performances in Serie A, attracting interest from several clubs, with Juventus among the teams previously linked to him during the transfer window.

Any official offer from Leeds United is expected to test Parma's stance, given the increasing interest in the young goalkeeper, who could embark on his first experience in the Premier League if negotiations are successful.
