Tottenham and Aston Villa Battle for Martin Baturina
Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa have entered the race to sign Croatian international Martin Baturina, currently with Como in Italy, after he had an impressive season with his club and continued to shine with the Croatian national team in the World Cup.
According to "CaughtOffside," citing Italian reports, the 23-year-old has become a target for both English clubs after contributing to 12 goals with Como last season, along with scoring a stunning goal against England during the group stage of the World Cup.
The report added that Como has set Baturina's price at around €80 million, which could pose a challenge for Tottenham, who have already spent significant amounts this summer to strengthen their squad by signing Matheus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali.
Tottenham continues to seek reinforcements for their attacking line after a decline in their scoring output last season, while Aston Villa aims to enhance their squad with quality players after securing a spot in next season's Champions League.
The future of Martin Baturina remains open to all possibilities, as Como insists on their high financial demands, awaiting an official move from interested clubs to finalize the deal during the summer transfer window.
