Al Khaleej Signs Portuguese Miguel Crespo Until 2028

Al Khaleej has officially bolstered its squad by signing Portuguese midfielder Miguel Crespo during the summer transfer window, in preparation for the upcoming season of the Roshan Saudi League.

Crespo, 29, was born on September 11, 1996, in Lyon, France, to a Portuguese family. He is known for his ability to play multiple positions in midfield due to his technical and physical skills.

The player excels in defensive and advanced playmaker roles, as well as being a box-to-box midfielder. He is renowned for his ball recovery skills, building attacks, and precise passing, which adds significant value to his game.

His football career began in Portuguese academies before representing clubs like Neves, Merelinense, and Braga B, and he shone at Estoril, helping them rise to the Primeira Liga.

Crespo moved to Turkish side Fenerbahçe in the summer of 2021, establishing himself as one of the top midfielders and contributing to their Turkish Cup victory in the 2022-2023 season, scoring a crucial goal against Galatasaray in the Istanbul derby.

The player had a loan spell with Rayo Vallecano in Spain at the beginning of 2024 before returning to Turkey to join Başakşehir on a contract until the summer of 2027, continuing to deliver impressive performances.
