Moroccan midfielder Nabil Al-Ainawi of Roma has attracted interest from Liverpool and Manchester United after impressing with his national team in the 2026 World Cup, drawing the attention of several Premier League clubs.

According to "TEAMtalk," Al-Ainawi's performances for Morocco, particularly his defensive discipline and physical abilities, have impressed officials from both Liverpool and Manchester United, who are monitoring the player in anticipation of a potential move.

The midfielder celebrates his 25th birthday while participating in the World Cup, where he helped Morocco reach the Round of 16 after drawing with Brazil, winning against Scotland and Haiti, and then eliminating the Netherlands on penalties, setting up a clash with Canada in the next round.

Al-Ainawi joined Roma a year ago from Lens for €23.5 million plus bonuses, and despite facing some injuries and missing time due to his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations, he has played 34 official matches for the team, scoring two goals and providing two assists.

Meanwhile, Gian Piero Gasperini has stated that the player has great potential but is still working on developing it to fit his tactical style.

The same source indicated that Roma would not oppose discussing Al-Ainawi's departure if a substantial financial offer is received during the summer transfer window.
