German coach Jürgen Klopp commented on Germany's exit from the 2026 World Cup, expressing his great disappointment after being eliminated in the second round by Paraguay on penalties, and confirming that the team did not deliver the level everyone was hoping for.

Klopp said in statements after the match: "There are 500,000 ways to win the game, you just have to find one of them. There was only one goal, one dream, but it is shattered now."

The German coach added: "What happened was extremely dramatic, and we knew the magnitude of the challenge we faced, but the truth is that we did not play well and could not reach the level needed to achieve our goal."

He concluded regarding the possibility of taking over the national team if Nagelsmann is let go: "I haven't thought about that yet. I understand that my name is being mentioned now. But the time is not right to talk about it."

Klopp's comments come after the German team's exit from the tournament, at the end of a journey that witnessed many aspirations and hopes, before the "Mannschaft"'s journey ended disgracefully, leaving the World Cup amidst a state of frustration and regret.
