Monday 29-06-2026
Chelsea has entered the circle of clubs interested in signing American striker Folarin Balogun, a Monaco player, during the summer transfer window, after the player expressed his desire to experience something new away from the French club.

The 'CaughtOffside' website indicated that Balogun, 25 years old, informed Monaco's management of his desire to leave, while the French club set an amount ranging between 50 and 55 million euros to part with him, despite his contract extending until the summer of 2028.

The website added that Borussia Dortmund is considering signing Balogun as a potential replacement for Serhou Guirassy in case he leaves, while Juventus is exploring the possibility of completing the deal despite financial constraints, with the possibility of funding it through the sale of some players, and the presence of his teammate Weston McKennie in the Italian team adds extra appeal to the deal.

Interest in the American striker is not limited to these clubs, as Newcastle United is also monitoring his situation, while Chelsea sees him as a suitable option due to his technical abilities, despite having a large number of strikers. Barcelona also considers the player among its future options to succeed Robert Lewandowski.

The report confirmed that Balogun had an impressive season with Monaco, having scored 19 goals and assisted 5, along with scoring 11 goals in 29 matches for the United States national team, making him one of the most sought-after strikers in the summer transfer market, with anticipation for his future to be decided in the coming weeks.
