Tottenham Hotspur Club officially announced its signing with Dutch defender Jan Paul van Hecke coming from Brighton, as the London club continues to strengthen its backline in preparation for the new season.
Tottenham posted on its official accounts: "We are pleased to announce the signing of Jan Paul van Hecke."
The signing of the Dutch international comes after intensive negotiations with Brighton, where reports indicated that the deal was valued at about 52 million pounds, making it one of the club's most notable deals this summer.
Van Hecke will also renew his partnership with Italian coach Roberto De Zerbi, who previously supervised his training at Brighton and was a major supporter of the idea of signing him at Tottenham.
