Marcelo Starts New Sports Project

The Brazilian star Marcelo, former Real Madrid player, announced the establishment of his new football club named 'Doze Madrid' in a new sports project he described as a dream he had been working on for a long time.

Marcelo revealed through his official social media accounts the logo of the new club, which is predominantly purple, and launched the club's official Instagram account under the slogan: 'Eleven on the field, and Doze in the heart.'

Marcelo said in a statement published on his accounts: 'Today is a very special day for me because I can share something we have been working on and dreaming about for a long time, today the Doze Madrid Club de Futbol was born.'

The Brazilian player added that through this project, he aims to build a team from scratch, confirming that the club's name is inspired by his former number at Real Madrid and the name of the city of Madrid.

Marcelo continued: 'After many years in the world of football, I wanted to create a project that starts from scratch, based on enthusiasm and values, and people who love this sport like me. This is just the beginning, and we have already started.'

Marcelo pointed out that the project's name is also linked to his company 'Group Doze,' which operates in club and player management.

It is worth mentioning that the Brazilian player has previously entered into football investment projects, as he acquired the Brazilian club Azuriz in 2017 and became the owner of the Portuguese club CD Mafra in 2023, which plays in the third division in Portugal.
