Juventus Moves to Sign John Stones
Juventus has entered negotiations to sign English defender John Stones following his departure from Manchester City after his contract with the team expired this summer.
Sky Sport Italia has reported that Juventus has reached out to the player and his representatives to discuss the possibility of completing the transfer, with a serious offer from the Italian club on the table.
John Stones, 32, is searching for a new club after ending his 10-year stint with Manchester City, where he won numerous trophies under Pep Guardiola.
The English defender had previously been linked with moves to Inter Milan and Napoli, but those pursuits did not progress significantly, unlike the current interest from Juventus.
Juventus is taking action amid the team's need to bolster the center-back position, especially with the possibility of Gleison Bremer's departure to Galatasaray.
The Italian club is looking for alternatives after their negotiations to sign John Lucumi from Bologna stalled due to high financial demands, making Stones a good option to strengthen the defense.
