Amorim Delays Estupinan's Departure Decision

Ruben Amorim, the new head coach of AC Milan, has requested a delay in negotiations regarding the transfer of left-back Pervis Estupinan to Aston Villa, in order to evaluate him before making a final decision about his future.

According to "Football Italia," citing "Calcio Mercato," Amorim personally requested a temporary halt to negotiations, as he wishes to monitor the player during the pre-season preparations for the new season.

Estupiñán joined Milan last summer for around €19 million including bonuses, but he has only featured in 19 matches in Serie A and has struggled to secure a starting position.

Aston Villa's interest in signing the player comes as they approach the sale of left-back Lucas Digne to Paris Saint-Germain, opening the door for the Ecuadorian international's return to the Premier League.

The report indicated that Estupiñán returned to Milan training on July 24, but he missed the friendly match against Celtic. He is expected to participate in the team's preparatory tour in Australia to undergo a evaluation by Amorim.

Football Italia reports that AC Milan will demand between €15 and €16 million to agree to sell the player this summer, should the coaching staff decide to part ways with him after the evaluation period.
