Lyon Agrees to Sign Luis Openda from Juventus

Journalist Fabrice Hawkins reports that French club Olympique Lyon has reached a verbal agreement with Italian side Juventus to sign Belgian striker Louis Openda on loan during the current summer transfer window.

Hawkins stated that Lyon will cover the player's full salary, in addition to paying around €3 million as a loan fee, with the agreement not including any clause granting the French club the right to purchase the player permanently.

It was noted that Openda had given his consent to move to Lyon several days ago, paving the way for the agreement to be completed among all parties.

Openda is expected to undergo a medical examination next week, paving the way for his official transfer to Olympique Lyon and the announcement of the deal in the coming days.
