El-Ghandour Comments on Egypt's Friendly Win Over Russia
The media personality Khaled Al-Ghandour, the former Zamalek star, commented on the victory achieved by the Egyptian national team over the Russian national team in a friendly match.
The Egyptian national team secured a 1-0 victory over the Russian national team in a friendly match yesterday, Thursday, at Cairo International Stadium.
Al-Ghandour said in a video posted on his personal Facebook account: "Congratulations to the Egyptian national team for their victory over the Russian team. This is our second win in history; we previously faced the team in two matches, both of which were friendlies."
He continued: "The Russian national team is excluded from friendly matches and participations due to the war in Ukraine and has been away for six years. They have some outstanding players, but 5 or 6 key players were absent from the match, meaning they are forming a new team. However, this is our first win against them since 1991, and today we won with a goal from the newcomer Mostafa Ziko. We have a match with the Brazilian national team where we can assess our true level."
