Thursday 28-05-2026
The head coach of the Saudi national team, Georgios Donis, has called up Al-Ahli goalkeeper Abdulrahman Al-Sanbi to join the "Green Falcons" training camp currently being held in New York City, USA.

The decision by the coaching staff came as part of the final phase of the Saudi national team's preparation program, in anticipation of participating in the 2026 World Cup.

The medical developments concerning goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Aqidi prompted a swift response from the coaching staff, after he underwent a rehabilitation program under the supervision of the medical team during the current camp.

This prompted Donis to strengthen the goalkeeper position by calling up Al-Sanabi, in order to maintain full readiness before the upcoming matches.

The Saudi national team had started its external training camp in the United States as part of the final preparation plan for participating in the World Cup.

The "Green" squad included 30 players, led by Mohammed Al-Owais, Ahmed Al-Kassar, Hassan Al-Tambakti, Saud Abdulhamid, Salem Al-Dawsari, Mohammed Kanno, and Firas Al-Buraikan.

The list also saw the presence of several young players, most notably Alaa Al-Haji, Ziyad Al-Juhani, and Musab Al-Juwair, as part of the coaching staff's efforts to prepare a balanced group that combines experience and vitality.
