Algerian Crew Leads Friendly Match Between Egypt and Russia

The Egyptian Football Association announced the Algerian refereeing team assigned to officiate the friendly match between the Egyptian national football team and the Russian national football team, scheduled to take place next Thursday evening at Cairo International Stadium, as part of the "Pharaohs'" preparations for the World Cup finals.

The officiating team included Lahlu Ben Brahim as the main referee, assisted by Mohamed Hamaidi as the first assistant, and Haitham Bouima as the second assistant, while the Egyptian international referee Mahmoud Basyouni was appointed as the fourth official for the match.

In a related context, sources revealed details about the audience attendance for the event, where approval was given for a total capacity of 46,400 spectators inside Cairo Stadium for a match taking place on Thursday evening at nine o'clock.

According to the approved arrangements, 2,000 tickets have been allocated to Russian fans, compared to 44,600 tickets for Egyptian fans, in an atmosphere expected to witness a large crowd supporting the "Pharaohs" before the World Cup.

The Egyptian national team continues its intensive preparations for the 2026 World Cup, as they are placed in Group G alongside Belgium, Iran, and New Zealand, in a group that appears relatively balanced before the start of the global competition.
