Inter Milan Aims to Sign Manu Koné and Curtis Jones

Saturday 23-05-2026
Inter Milan is working on strengthening its midfield during the upcoming summer transfer window, having identified French player Manu Koné from Roma and Curtis Jones from Liverpool as key options to bolster the team for the new season.

The "Football Italia" website explained that coach Cristian Chivu wants to reshape the midfield with Davide Frattesi's departure approaching, which has prompted Inter's management to move towards more than one name at the current time.

Manu Koné is considered the most prominent local target for the Italian club, following the performances he delivered with Roma since his transfer from Borussia Mönchengladbach in the summer of 2024. The French midfielder has participated in 81 matches with the capital team, during which he scored four goals and assisted six others.

The report indicated that Roma might agree to sell the player, whose contract extends until the summer of 2029, while Inter is considering including some players in the deal, such as Carlos Augusto or Davide Frattesi, to facilitate negotiations between the two parties.

Meanwhile, Inter continues to monitor Curtis Jones, the Liverpool player, as an additional option to strengthen the midfield. The English player is under contract with Liverpool until June 2027, and his salary does not pose a significant obstacle for the Italian club's management.

The source added that Inter sees the duo, Koné and Jones, as suitable elements for the team's future project, especially since they fall within the age group targeted by the club to build a more stable and balanced team in the coming years.
