Liverpool Snatches Young Colombian Talent Martinez
Borussia Dortmund received a major blow in the transfer market after Liverpool secured the signing of young Colombian midfielder Samuel Martinez, who is 17 years old and considered one of the most promising talents.
According to Sky Sports, the deal will cost the English club slightly less than one million euros, with Atlético Nacional set to receive a percentage of any future sale of the player, as per the agreement between the parties.
Dortmund was among the clubs interested in signing the player until the last moments, but it lost the race to Liverpool, which succeeded in convincing the player and his entourage with its future sports project, thus ending the German club's hopes of acquiring the Colombian talent.
Martinez is expected to join Liverpool when he turns 18 next year, signing a long-term contract for five years. It should be noted that the medical examination has not yet been fully completed before the official announcement.
