Mamdouh Abbas Delivers Good News to Zamalek Fans After Winning the League
Mamdouh Abbas, the honorary president of Zamalek Club, sent a reassuring message to the White Castle fans, confirming that the resolution of the registration suspension issue is near, just hours after the team won the league title.
Zamalek is currently facing a transfer ban imposed by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) due to several cases filed against the club, which have reached a total of 18 cases.
During his appearance on the "Al-Hayat" channel, Mamdouh Abbas appeared visibly moved while talking about Zamalek's victory. He said tearfully, "Congratulations to the Zamalek fans... I can't speak due to the overwhelming emotion, and the fans were magnificent and supported the team throughout the match against Ceramica Cleopatra until the very last minute."
He added, "I assure Zamalek fans that the lifting of the ban is very close, and the club will obtain the African license and will participate in the African Champions League next season. There are many solutions being worked on."
Abbas confirmed that Zamalek achieved one of the most difficult league titles in its history, noting that the team managed to overcome extremely complex circumstances during the season.
He explained: "I see this title as one of the toughest league championships in the history of the competition, and Zamalek has proven that crises do not prevent winning championships, especially with the reliance on a large number of young and emerging players like Mohamed Ibrahim and Al-Sayed Osama."
The honorary president of Zamalek also made sure to extend his greetings to Moatamed Gamal, praising his contributions to the team, and jokingly said: "Congratulations to Moatamed Gamal, he is a very respectable person, and as a gift from me, he will receive a tray of meat-filled pastries and baklava."
He concluded his statements by sending a message of support to the Zamalek board of directors, affirming that the management endured immense pressure throughout the season, saying: "I commend the board for withstanding pressures that no human could bear, and when I saw Hussein Labib receiving the league shield, he seemed to carry years of exhaustion due to the magnitude of the responsibility."
