Gibbs-White Nears Return Against Manchester United

The English midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White is nearing a return to Nottingham Forest's lineup ahead of the anticipated match against Manchester United at Old Trafford next Sunday. This game could provide him with a new opportunity to prove himself before the upcoming international commitments with the England national team.

Gibbs White, aged 26, is preparing to be included in the preliminary list for the English national team, which consists of 55 players. It is expected to be announced by the German coach Thomas Tuchel next Friday in preparation for the summer World Cup.

The player recently returned to group training after a severe facial injury sustained during his team's 3-1 victory over Chelsea on May 4. He participated in training sessions wearing a special protective mask, with expectations that he will continue to wear it if he plays against Manchester United.

Gibbs-White is experiencing one of his best seasons, having scored 16 goals across various competitions, in addition to contributing to 9 goals in the last 8 matches of the English Premier League, with 7 goals and 2 assists.

Gibbs-White has six international appearances for the England national team, with his most recent participation being in the friendly win against Wales with a score of 3-0 last October, where he came on as a substitute for 20 minutes.

Despite the strong performances he delivers, the player faces fierce competition for his position within the English national team lineup, with prominent names like Cole Palmer, Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, and Morgan Rogers.
