Liverpool Considers Paris Saint-Germain Goalkeeper Among Its Interests

Wednesday 13-05-2026
Press reports have revealed that Liverpool is exploring multiple options for the goalkeeper position during the summer transfer window, in case the Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker leaves.

According to the 'CaughtOffside' website, Alisson, despite being under contract with Liverpool until 2027, has been linked with a move to Juventus, which has opened the discussion within the club about the future of the goalkeeper position.

Reports indicated that Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili was a candidate to be the first choice if Alisson leaves, but Liverpool's management does not seem convinced of giving him the primary role without alternatives.

In this context, Liverpool is interested in the French goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, a Paris Saint-Germain player, who is 24 years old.

Chevalier moved to Paris Saint-Germain last summer for 40 million euros from Lille, but he has not succeeded in securing his primary spot.

Although Chevalier's contract with Paris Saint-Germain extends until 2030, he has been put on the transfer market, with Liverpool scouts monitoring the possibility of signing him.

Conversely, the name of Aston Villa's goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has also been proposed as a potential option, in case his club decides to sell him during the transfer window.

Liverpool is carefully studying all options, given the potential departure of Alisson, with ongoing debate about the identity of the goalkeeper who might lead the team in the upcoming phase.
