Rome Moves to Secure Hermoso

Roma is preparing to make a decisive move regarding the future of Spanish defender Mario Hermoso by activating the extension option in his contract to keep him at the "Olimpico" until the summer of 2027.

According to reports coming from Italy, the Roma management considers Hermoso to have become an important element in the team's artistic project, following the consistent performances he has delivered since joining the club, prompting the management to take action to ensure his continued presence for a longer period.

The Spanish defender joined Roma in the summer of 2024 with a contract that included a clause allowing the club to extend the agreement for an additional year. There are internal discussions about the possibility of converting the extension into a longer contract lasting until 2028.

The reports indicated that the "Giallorossi" management intends to activate the extension option before the end of the season, especially after the coaching staff has been convinced of the player's abilities and extensive experience, in addition to his importance in the team's defensive line.
