USM Alger Coach: We are Preparing Well for Zamalek.. The Final Won't Be Decided in the First Leg
Lamine N'Diaye, the head coach of the Algerian team USM Alger, confirmed that his team is well-prepared for the match against Zamalek in the Confederation Cup final.
Union of Algiers will face Zamalek tomorrow, Saturday, at the July 5 Stadium in Algeria in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final.
Lamine N'Diaye said in an interview with the "CAF" website: "The preparations are going very well because we are benefiting from the facilities of the National Teams Preparation Center in Algeria. We are in a state of complete calm, and we have everything we need to be in a clear state of mind. We are working quietly and peacefully in the environment we wanted."
He continued: "The idea of deciding this final match in the first leg is incorrect. There are two matches, and I believe both teams must give their best, and I truly mean their best, in both matches if they want to win."
He continued: "Zamalek is well-known, as it is one of the giants of the continent and has extensive experience in big matches."
He added: "When you reach the final match, it's natural that you don't even need to motivate the players, as they are naturally excited. How many football players spend their entire careers without reaching this level? I believe about 90% of them. It's a celebration, a final, and a unique opportunity."
Regarding his opinion on his rival Zamalek, he responded by saying: "Zamalek is going through a great period and might win the Egyptian league, which is an achievement that hasn't been realized for a long time. I can't remember how many years have passed since they last won the Egyptian league."
He added, "They are truly a very strong team, as we have seen during their run in continental tournaments. They often win away games or achieve excellent results."
