CAF Announces Increase in Confederation Cup Final Prizes
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced a significant and unexpected increase in the prize money for the CAF Confederation Cup.
CAF confirmed in an official statement that the winner of the current edition will receive 4 million dollars, which represents a 100% increase compared to last season's prize of 2 million dollars.
The increase also included the runner-up, whose reward will double to reach two million dollars instead of one million in the previous season.
Tomorrow, Saturday, the Zamalek team will meet with its counterpart, USM Alger, at the July 5 Stadium in Algeria for the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final.
The second leg match will be held on Saturday, May 16th, at Cairo International Stadium.
