Zamalek coach Moatamed Gamal confirmed that his team is seriously preparing for the match against Algeria's USM Alger in the Confederation Cup final.

Zamalek will face USM Alger next Saturday in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final.

Jamal clarified in statements to the official website of the African Confederation "CAF" that his team's focus is entirely on the first leg of the final.

Moatamed Gamal said: "Zamalek is seriously preparing for the match given its importance, especially since it is a very crucial match and serves as the first half of the final. The team began preparations immediately upon arriving in Algeria, despite the players' fatigue, particularly since Zamalek played a match in the Egyptian league last Tuesday. We have closed the chapter on the league and are preparing for the first leg of the final."

He added: "Zamalek players have great spirit and motivation to win the first leg, alongside having experienced and senior players whose goal is to achieve victory in the match we will play in Algeria, to make the fans happy."

He continued: "Of course, the team has experienced players and internationals, and there is a group of players who previously played in the CAF Confederation Cup final in 2024 against Renaissance Berkane and won the title at that time. Additionally, the new players in the team have the experience and motivation to achieve their first continental title with Zamalek."

He emphasized the difficulty of the match, saying: "USM Alger is a strong competitor and the match will be tough. We respect the opposing team and follow them closely. Zamalek's preparations have been brief due to the team's commitment to the league competition. USM Alger is a respectable team with respectable fans, and it will be a confrontation between two brotherly teams. I hope the match will be conducted in an honorable manner befitting Arab football."
