Thursday 07-05-2026
Spanish and British press reports have revealed that Federico Valverde will miss the anticipated El Clasico match against Barcelona, based on medical advice following a head injury he sustained during Real Madrid training.

According to El Mundo newspaper, doctors advised the player not to participate in training or matches for at least a week after he suffered a severe blow to the head during a violent altercation with Aurélien Tchouaméni.

The Athletic newspaper explained that the incident began after a strong tackle by Valverde on his French teammate Aurélien Tchouaméni during training, which then escalated into a verbal altercation and subsequently a physical confrontation between the two parties.

The report added that Valverde later fell and hit his head on a table in the locker room, which required him to be taken to the hospital for medical care, before he later returned home after ensuring his health condition was stable.

Real Madrid confirmed, according to "The Athletic," that the incident did indeed occur and acknowledged that the player was admitted to the hospital following the event, a development that heightens tension within the team during this critical phase of the season.
