Press reports have revealed that Barcelona has started reconsidering the future of left-back Alejandro Balde, in light of the team's planning developments for the next season, according to the Spanish newspaper "AS".

According to the same source, Hans Flick wants to fight to keep Joao Cancelo, which could directly affect Balde's position within the team, especially as his role has recently diminished.

The newspaper clarified that Baldi, who was previously considered an essential element for the future and present, has lost some of his consistency due to injuries, along with fluctuating performance upon returning from them, as he struggles to regain his best form after any injury.

The report added that competition within the team has increased with the brilliance of Gerard Martin, in addition to the arrival of Cancelo, who has become the primary left-back and has delivered strong performances. The Spanish newspaper indicated that Flick greatly values Cancelo's performance and attacking flexibility, while the club's management is working on trying to extend his stay, even though his contract with Al Hilal runs until 2027.

At the same time, the economic aspect may play an important role in Balde's future, as Barcelona needs to strengthen its financial resources, which might lead them to consider potential offers for the player, especially from English Premier League clubs.

The newspaper also pointed out that the player's agent, Jorge Mendes, is also managing Cancelo's file, which adds to the complexity of the situation within the club.
