Ajax Seeks to Sign Jofre Torrents

Barcelona is working on determining the future of several of its young players in preparation for the new season, with Jofre Torrents being among the names considered for a loan move to gain more playing time and continue his development.

The Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo' reported that Barcelona's management believes the best step for the 19-year-old player is a temporary move to a team that will provide him with continuity, especially after a difficult season during which he suffered a left ankle injury that kept him off the field for a long time.

Torrents participated with the first team during the preseason last year and played his first matches under the management of Hans Flick, in addition to his significant role with Barcelona Athletic before the injury.

In this context, Ajax Amsterdam has emerged as one of the most interested clubs in acquiring the player on loan. The Dutch club is preparing to restructure the left-back position after several changes the team underwent last season.

Ajax's interest comes in light of the team's need to strengthen the left defensive side, especially after injuries to some players and the non-continuation of others, making Torrents a strong option in the club's plans for the upcoming season.
