Arteta: The Situation is Much Better, and This is Unbelievable
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta appeared in a press conference following the team's 1-0 victory over Newcastle, as part of the 34th round of the English Premier League, at the Emirates Stadium.
The coach said in his speech: "The situation is much better. We understand the importance of the match. The margin is very small. We started the game strong and scored a fantastic goal. I liked the players' character. We were very disciplined without the ball and only gave the opponent one chance through [Yoane] Wissa."
He added, "We might miss some opportunities, but the most important thing is the team's immediate reaction and the effort we put in. We need to have something else to win matches."
"Regarding last week, he said: 'We conducted a comprehensive reset, and I felt a change in the energy in the locker room. We enjoyed what we had to do, and now we're playing in the Champions League against Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals, which is incredible.'"
Regarding the injuries of Kai Havertz and Eberechi Eze, he said: "They had to be taken off, I think they were minor injuries. We don't know how serious they are. We might know more tomorrow."
