The media personality Ahmed Shobeir confirmed that there is significant public anger due to the high prices of tickets for Egypt's matches in the 2026 World Cup.

In a radio statement, Shobeir said: "The ticket sales process for the World Cup is met with significant anger because FIFA and the organizing committee consider it a business and have increased ticket prices, especially for the front seats."

He explained: "The front seats in any category will be priced very high, ranging from $140 for the third category to $8,680 for the final match."

The Egyptian national team is in Group G of the 2026 World Cup, which includes Belgium, Iran, and New Zealand.
