Public Anger Over Rising Ticket Prices for Egypt's World Cup Matches
The media personality Ahmed Shobeir confirmed that there is significant public anger due to the high prices of tickets for Egypt's matches in the 2026 World Cup.
In a radio statement, Shobeir said: "The ticket sales process for the World Cup is met with significant anger because FIFA and the organizing committee consider it a business and have increased ticket prices, especially for the front seats."
He explained: "The front seats in any category will be priced very high, ranging from $140 for the third category to $8,680 for the final match."
The Egyptian national team is in Group G of the 2026 World Cup, which includes Belgium, Iran, and New Zealand.
