Brighton secured an important victory over Chelsea with a 3-0 win in the match that brought the two teams together in the 34th round of the English Premier League, held at the Amex Stadium.

Brighton opened the scoring early through Ferdi Kadıoğlu in the fourth minute, giving his team a quick advantage that unsettled Chelsea's plans from the start of the match.

In the second half, Jack Hinshelwood strengthened the home team's lead by scoring the second goal in the 56th minute, before Danny Welbeck scored the third goal in the 90+1 minute.

Chelsea failed to get back into the game, as they were unable to score any goals throughout the match, despite their attempts to narrow the gap.

With this victory, Brighton increased their tally to 50 points, moving up to sixth place in the English Premier League standings, while Chelsea's tally remained at 48 points in seventh place.
