Mourinho's Position on Coaching Real Madrid
Tuesday 21-04-2026
Journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed the stance of Portuguese coach José Mourinho regarding a return to coaching Real Madrid, in the event that coach Álvaro Arbeloa departs at the end of the current season.

According to the reliable journalist, Mourinho, who is currently managing Benfica, is 100% open to the idea of returning to coach Real Madrid if the club decides to reach out to him in the near future.

Romano pointed out that Mourinho still holds special feelings towards the Royal Club, which he previously led during one of the most prominent periods of his coaching career, while there have been no official communications between the two parties so far.

Mourinho previously managed Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013, where he successfully led the team to win the Spanish La Liga title, in addition to the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup, during a period marked by strong competition both domestically and in Europe.

The Royal Club continues to study the coaching market in anticipation of parting ways with Arbeloa at the end of the current period.
