Arsenal Football Club has shown interest in signing Spanish defender Óscar Mingueza from Celta Vigo during the upcoming summer transfer window, according to press reports.

According to "The Telegraph," Arsenal has already entered the race to sign Mingueza in the summer transfer window, especially with his contract with Celta Vigo nearing its end at the conclusion of the current season, making him available on a free transfer.

Reports also indicated that Aston Villa and Fulham have shown interest in the Spanish defender, who excels at playing both as a center-back and a right-back.

Mingueza participated in 40 matches with Celta Vigo this season, during which he scored one goal and provided 6 assists.

The player is a graduate of Barcelona's La Masia academy, where he played with the first team for two seasons before leaving in 2022 to join Celta Vigo.

Mingueza previously represented the Spanish national team in 4 matches during 2021, at the start of his international career.
