Chelsea Football Club announced in an official statement the renewal of Ecuadorian midfielder Moises Caicedo's contract, extending his stay with the team until the 2033 season.

Caicedo said in statements to the club's official website: "I am very happy to extend my contract with Chelsea. I believe in this team, in this club, and I know we are heading in the right direction. We have just started together."

He added: "There is still much for me to achieve, and I am very eager to continue developing day by day. I want to win more titles with Chelsea and do my utmost for this club and its fans."

He continued: "We have already enjoyed great times together, and my dream is to become a legend at Chelsea, and I will work as hard as possible to achieve that."

Caicedo joined Chelsea at the start of the 2023 season, coming from the English club Brighton. Since then, he has participated in 140 matches with the team, scoring 8 goals, including one that was chosen as the best goal of the 2024 season.

The player contributed to Chelsea's triumph in the 2024/2025 season by winning the UEFA Europa Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup.
