Al-Rayyan was crowned the champion of the Qatar Stars League Cup for the 2025-2026 season, after defeating Muaither 2-0 in the final match held on Wednesday evening.

Al-Rayyan's victory came under the leadership of their Spanish coach Vicente Moreno, after the team secured the match thanks to goals from Roger Guedes and Aleksandar Mitrović, who scored in the 45+1 and 53rd minutes.

This title is Al Rayyan's first of the current season, as they are away from the top of the Qatar Stars League standings, which is led by Al Sadd, while Al Rayyan is in third place behind Al Shamal.

In another context, Al-Rayyan continues its journey in the Gulf Club Champions League, having qualified for the semi-finals in the 2025-2026 season.

The matches of this round were originally scheduled for last March, but they were postponed. The Competitions Committee set April 19 as the date for the semi-final matches, with the final match to be played on the 23rd of the same month in a centralized format.

Al-Rayyan faces Al-Qadisiyah in the semi-finals, while Al-Shabab meets Zakho, with the winners advancing to the final match.
