Luis Diaz, the Bayern Munich forward, appeared in a press statement following the 2-1 victory over Real Madrid in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, in the match held at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

The Colombian star said: "We achieved the result we wanted by winning at the Santiago Bernabéu. But there is a bitterness because we were capable of scoring more goals. We had many opportunities to do so. We need to review our mistakes."

He added, "What mistakes did you make? It was a tough match. Real Madrid is a team that's hard to beat here. In the second half, we controlled the game better and had more scoring opportunities. Football gives us a chance for revenge next week."

He concluded: "We always try to do our best. Every match is different from the other. Mentality and focus are the key. We have a great team; we are one family."
