Latest Developments on the Injury of Young Al-Ahly Player Bilal Atiya
Tuesday 07-04-2026
The journalist Ahmed Shobeir revealed the latest developments regarding the injury of young Al-Ahly player Bilal Atiya.

Bilal Atiyah sustained a knee injury during his team's match against Tala'ea El Gaish, which took place yesterday, Monday, as part of the National Championship competition.

In a radio statement, Shobeir said: "Bilal Atiya has not undergone an X-ray, and it has been postponed until the swelling in his foot subsides. We hope it is not a cruciate ligament injury."

He explained: "The cruciate ligament has become a common injury, but the problem is the long recovery time, which depends on the player's willpower."

He continued: "I remember Ahmed Hassan, the former Al Ahly and Egypt national team star, suffered a cruciate ligament injury and returned to the field within six months. Therefore, it depends on the player's will and desire, and Bilal is young and can recover from the injury quickly."

Shobier concluded his statements by saying, "We will follow up with the scans today to reveal the details of the injury."
