Manchester United officially announced the renewal of their defender Harry Maguire's contract, keeping him with the team until the summer of 2027, with a clause allowing for an additional year extension.

This decision comes as part of the club management's commitment to retaining experienced players within the team, especially since Maguire has been a key pillar in the defense line since joining in the summer of 2019.

During the current season, the English defender participated in 18 matches, scoring one goal and providing an assist, and he was sent off once during a match against Bournemouth in the Premier League.

Maguire expressed his happiness to continue, affirming that representing Manchester United is a great honor for him, and he pointed out his eagerness to achieve more successes with the team in the coming period.

Jason Wilcox, the club's sporting director, praised the player's potential, emphasizing that he possesses a strong mentality and extensive experience, along with his leadership role within the team.

Maguire played 266 matches for Manchester United and succeeded in winning several titles, most notably the English League Cup and the FA Cup, continuing to establish his position as one of the team's leading defenders in recent years.
