Hossam Ghaly, a former board member of Al Ahly Club, spoke about the behind-the-scenes details of Abdullah Al-Saeed's signing with Zamalek and the crisis surrounding his departure from Al Ahly in 2018.

Hossam Ghaly said in statements on "On Sport" channel: "I was very saddened by the departure of Abdullah Al-Saeed and Ramadan Sobhi from Al-Ahly. When I was the captain of the Al-Ahly team in 2018, I felt one day in the locker room that Abdullah Al-Saeed was frowning, his face was pale, he wasn't okay, and he wasn't speaking."

He added: "I asked Abdullah, 'What's wrong, son? I told him if there's anything, let me know and let's address it before it's too late.' He told me, 'I signed with Zamalek.' After that, I contacted Captain Alaa Abdel-Sadiq, who was the football director at the time, and Abdullah was ready to sign."

Hossam Ghaly continued that Abdullah Al-Saeed's issue with Al-Ahly could have been resolved, especially after the player expressed his desire to renew and his regret. However, matters became complicated due to unjustified and incomprehensible maneuvers.
