Real Madrid is aiming to secure the future of its French player Aurélien Tchouaméni until 2031, according to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo," in a move intended to retain one of the key midfield pillars of the team.

Tchouaméni was one of the club's major bets to strengthen the midfield, after the club chose him as a replacement for Casemiro in the 2022/2023 season. Real Madrid invested 70 million euros from Casemiro's transfer to Manchester United to acquire the young 22-year-old French player, in addition to ten million euros to complete the deal with Monaco for 80 million euros, with an additional 20 million as variables.

It wasn't easy for Tchouameni to erase the impact of his tactical predecessor, who harmonized perfectly with Toni Kroos and Luka Modric. It took him three years to adapt to the role required of him, and his career hit its lowest point in January of last year when the Santiago Bernabeu crowd jeered him during the announcement of his name before a match against Celta, and as he went out to warm up.

That moment became a turning point in the player's career, as he has since become the midfielder the club desires. He organizes the team from the midfield and steps in to rescue them in difficult moments, playing a role that is not prominent but essential in a team that relies on attack, according to the newspaper.

Several clubs are closely monitoring Tchouaméni's performance, as some major European clubs are keen to sign him, considering him the ideal player to strengthen the midfield due to his defensive abilities and leadership qualities. The player has a contract with Real Madrid until 2028, with a hefty release clause of one billion euros, which makes the club uninterested in selling him even for 140 million euros.

Meanwhile, the club has started communicating with the player to discuss extending his contract for an additional three years, tying him to the club until 2031, to ensure his continued presence as a key element in the team's lineup in the near future.
