According to the same source, coach Hans Flick viewed the international break as an opportunity to catch a breath, but at the same time, he was aware of its danger with the decisive stage of the season approaching, where only about a month and a half remain to decide local and continental competitions.

Barcelona suffered a major blow with the injury of Raphinha, who sustained a muscle tear while participating with the Brazilian national team, which will sideline him for five weeks, meaning he will miss the majority of the remaining matches this season, with a slim chance of returning in the advanced stages of the Champions League.

The Spanish newspaper explained that the club's management was displeased with the arrangement of friendly matches that require long travel and significant physical exertion, considering that this exposes players to unjustified risks at a crucial time of the season, especially with its end approaching and shortly before international tournaments.

Concern is not limited to Raphinha alone but extends to players like Joao Cancelo, who continues to participate with the Portuguese national team in friendly matches outside the European continent, in addition to Robert Lewandowski, who is engaged in critical matches for World Cup qualification, increasing the physical pressure on him before important matches for Barcelona.

The management is also cautiously monitoring the condition of players like Lamine Yamal, Pedri, and Dani Olmo due to their history with injuries this season, although the Spanish national team reassured the club about Yamal's situation, with a plan to reduce his physical load.
