The French star Kylian Mbappe, a player for Real Madrid, denied recent media reports claiming that the club's medical staff examined his healthy knee instead of the injured one.

In a press conference before the friendly match against Brazil, Mbappe said: "I have never been - neither as a person nor as a player - someone who regrets the past. I focus on the present and the near future. I feel good now, especially concerning my knee, which is important to me. This is partly thanks to my club, which has taken good care of my physical health. I am very happy to be here, ready to participate, and in my best form."

He added, "Is it true that they made a mistake in treating your knee? The information that they examined the wrong knee is incorrect. I might bear some indirect responsibility because when there is no communication, rumors start to spread; this is part of the game."

He continued: "Our communication with the club has always been very clear. We are at a crucial stage of the season, and I wanted the team to continue winning during my absence, and they did, which is very positive. When I got injured at the beginning of January, I wasn't available, and many thought I was the only solution for the club, but that's not true."

He continued, "I am ready to play against Brazil and to start if necessary. But in the end, the decision is up to the coach."
