Real Madrid star Federico Valverde is experiencing one of the best periods of his football career, having become the standout player in the team in recent weeks due to his significant impact on results and performance.

The Uruguayan international was decisive in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 against Manchester City, scoring a hat-trick that led his team to victory. He also contributed to five goals in the last six matches in La Liga.

The exceptional level Valverde is delivering has prompted Real Madrid legend and former German midfielder Toni Kroos to publicly praise him, saying: "It can be said that in a season that was somewhat average for Real Madrid, Valverde appeared to be the player capable of carrying the team on his shoulders."
