The Catalan newspaper "Sport" reported that English forward Marcus Rashford is likely to play a bigger role with his current team, Barcelona, in the match against Rayo Vallecano on Sunday in La Liga.

The report indicated that coach Hans Flick is keen to keep Rashford motivated for the rest of the season, as he will provide him with opportunities to participate within the team's rotation policy, especially given the many challenges the club faces.

Rashford's role has diminished recently due to his inconsistent performance, prompting the coaching staff to handle him cautiously to ensure he returns to his best form before the end of the current season.

It is noted that Rashford is playing with Barcelona on loan until the end of the season, coming from Manchester United, with an option for a permanent purchase worth up to 30 million euros.

The Catalan club has not yet made a decision on whether to sign Rashford permanently with the team or return him to the Red Devils after his loan period.
