Inzaghi Reveals the Truth About Lajami's Injury After the Al-Ahly Classic
Thursday 19-03-2026
The Italian Simone Inzaghi, coach of the Saudi club Al-Hilal, sent reassuring messages to the team's fans after reviewing the condition of defender Ali Lajami following the match against Al-Ahli in the King's Cup.

Medical examinations confirmed that Lajami's injury is a minor muscular one and does not cause concern within the technical staff, which gives the team a morale boost ahead of the upcoming phase.

The defender left the Enma Stadium pitch during the second half, specifically at the 62nd minute, to be replaced by Hassan Tambakti after experiencing sudden pain.

Reports indicated that the player's condition does not require a long absence, as he is expected to return quickly to participate in group training after the current rest period.

In a related context, Inzaghi decided to grant Al-Hilal players a full week off, coinciding with the international break and the Eid al-Fitr holiday, as several players join their national teams.

This decision comes following Al-Hilal's thrilling victory over Al-Ahli in a penalty shootout with a score of (4-2), after the regular and extra time ended in a draw, in the semi-finals of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup.
